MercachemSyncom announces the expansion of its non-GMP scale-up facilities

In recent years, MercachemSyncom has achieved continuous and steady growth of its business. The acquisition of our GMP facilities in Weert at the beginning of 2020 has significantly increased our capabilities in process R&D and early clinical API manufacturing. To further support our growing customer base, MercachemSyncom is very pleased to announce a significant capital investment to expand our non-GMP scale-up capabilities in the new Chemistry & Engineering Innovation Building at the Zernike campus in Groningen. This new building will be erected adjacent to the current MercachemSyncom buildings in Groningen. Yesterday, the official groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of these new labs took place in Groningen.

Dr. Robert Hof, Managing Director of the Groningen site, commented: “These new facilities will allow us to further expand our state-of-the-art kilo-lab capabilities. With this new addition, we will triple our non-GMP scale-up capacity at our Groningen site. The new kilo-lab will be the perfect bridge between our non-GMP lab operations in Groningen and our GMP manufacturing facilities in Weert and Prague.” The planned expansion also includes additional space, which will give MercachemSyncom ample room for future growth. We look forward to the construction of this new building and look forward to welcoming you to our brand-new facilities in Q4 2021!
