We are looking for creative scientists with a passion for chemistry

Symeres’ employees are working on more than 1000 projects every year. In our state-of-the-art laboratories, we work on a variety of challenging synthetic organic chemistry projects for a global client base.

We are always interested in meeting talented Organic Chemists. Experience in medicinal chemistry, process chemistry, analytical chemistry or complex synthetic organic chemistry (BSc, MSc, or PhD) is preferred.

As part of an increasing demand for our services at our location in Groningen, we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Analytical Scientist.

As a member of the analytical team, the analytical scientist is responsible for analytical support to the running
chemical projects. Daily work includes method development, in-process controls, and final compound purity
determinations. The Analytical Chemistry Departments are equipped with state-of-the-art analytical equipment,
such as LC-(MS), GC-(MS), SFC-(MS), IR, Karl Fisher, and DSC.

As part of an increasing demand for our services at our location in Groningen (NL), we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Scientist / Project Leader Medicinal Chemistry.

As Senior Scientist/Project Leader of our Medicinal Chemistry group, you will be working on small-molecule drug
discovery projects on different target classes pertaining to different disease areas at the Symeres Groningen site. You
will work on medicinal chemistry applied to lead-finding and lead-optimization projects, and we expect you to solve
complex chemistry problems within agreed timelines. You will strongly contribute to molecular design through current
expertise or development in this area.

Door onze voortdurende expansie en de toenemende vraag naar onze diensten zijn we momenteel voor onze locatie in Groningen op zoek naar een enthousiaste Systeembeheerder (Juniorfunctie-Fulltime). Het betreft een startersfunctie met interessante doorgroeimogelijkheden als systeembeheerder binnen de organisatie. Je voert ICT Infrastructuur gerelateerde werkzaamheden uit bij alle medewerkers binnen de organisatie. Je werkzaamheden bestaan vooral uit 1e en 2e lijns helpdesk werkzaamheden, werkplekbeheer, ondersteuning van het netwerkbeheer en de ICT Manager.

To grow the computational team in Nijmegen, we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Computational Chemist (Full time).

In this position, you will be involved in drug discovery projects on different target classes and disease areas – supporting both the Nijmegen and Groningen teams. You will apply computational methods, including structure-based drug design, homology modeling, QSAR, ligand/receptor docking, ligand-based design, scaffold hopping, and diversity/similarity analysis in the design of libraries or single compounds. Furthermore, you will interpret and use structural data, biological assay data, physicochemical data, pharmacological data, etc. in the design of biologically active molecules. Your key interactions are with medicinal chemists on the customer side and with medicinal/synthetic chemists internally.

In Weert (NL), we are currently looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Analyst (full time). As a member of the Analytical Chemistry department, the Analyst is responsible for analytical method development and validation, testing of raw materials, in-process controls, intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), and stability testing.

The Manager EHS provides consultation about his/her field of expertise in enterprise policies, budgets, and projects for the Weert location.

In Weert (NL), we are currently looking for an Information Systems Analyst (full time). Together with a colleague, the Information Systems Analyst is among others responsible for coordinating maintenance and requalification operations of laboratory equipment, providing support for the testing of new and existing software applications and writing/reviewing procedures and working instructions.
